Yeah, I mos def agree with Kayla on this one! On my way to the N.E.R.D. show, one of my very best friends asked me if I saw Kanye's performance on this year's VMA's. The boredom from the rest of the show wreaked havoc on my soul, therefore I fell asleep before he came out. I awakened to his voice when his performance was just about over!!!! So my friend Derrick let me hear "love lockdown" while in the car to the show...i have since been humming the song and i can't get it out of my heart and mind!!! This is pure poetry! I know many people won't be able to get with this joint because it's so far from the rich beats that he's usually known for...but lyrically, this is nothing less than true euphoria! Partly because I can relate due to my jacked up "love life", but wholly, this is an amazing song...when one makes their contribution to art and it comes from the depths of their soul, it's nothing less than classic...''love lockdown"= classic!

    the.LICK.seen around the world.

I am sure that most who are following the election tune to CNN for the live coverage of the Republican National Convention and of course the long awaited speech from McCain's Vice-President, Governor Sarah Palin. With all the drama folliwng Palin from the moment she accepted McCain's offer, I was interested in what she had to say. Honestly throughout the whole speech I was kinda disgusted and dissapointed. Starting from jump when she walked out. I mean come on. Of course they want to try to portray that the Republican's are so "crunk" and give her an overdrawn standing ovation. I think they had signs and producers all over that arena screaming..CLAP.STAND.BOO. It was too staged and was much like a circus. Secondly, who does Palin thinks she is to try to throw shots at the Democrats. Her jokes and smart remarks were a bit much. So were those 15 seconds pauses between her jokes and us waiting on the crowd to get the joke and respond. I mean the whole time, it was as though she was being attacked by the media but now she has unleashed the bulldog out of her. I hope she is ready to get with the Dems have to dish out. The news anchor were ranting and raving over a speech that was far from fantastic. Instead of talking about McCain's journey of being torture when he was serving our country, I think it would have been best if she shared why she is the perfect candidate for VP and what she would change. Let's see how she stands up against Biden in the VP debate. In addition, the production of last night's RNC was all messed up. Showing the teleprompter, Empty seats. Im convinced that the producers were democrats.

And the cherry that top the sundae.

I know I am not the only soul that saw Palin's younger daughter lick her hand then that baby's head. like WTF?

    in case u didn't know.

    Be the change.....

Long time comming...........I am honored to be of age during this wonderful and momentus occassion, for I recognize that this moment is history in the making! As Obama delivered his speech, I was reminded that great words mean nothing unless you serve them on the appropriate dish. And oh my goodness did Obama serve his acceptance speech at the Democratic Conventon! Big ups to Obama for putting yellow men back on the market!! Is it just me, or is every other woman hot for Obama???I suddenly feel the urge to make all men pass a brown paper bag test to qualify for a date........LOL!

Ladies I got me a bad ass yellow boy, you better get em' while the're hot!

Obama's speech was mixed with the right amount of charm, the right amount of wit, the right amount of reality, and most importantly, the right amount of call to action......For I Too Am America!
See, I drive an American made car. LMAO!
I purchased my convertible (another word for Freedom)Ford mustang the same day I met the man of Change: driving to his first fundraiser in Texas in my beat up sunfire was out of the question!!!!
I am the Yellow Rose of Texas for crying out loud!.....and I have never been as proud to be an American as I am today!
As I press on to fulfill my American Dream, I am proud of my Country for growing up to change. I also recognize that everything (good and bad) works for the good of those that love the Lord....that if it were not for America's bruises due to playing in the Bushes over the past eight years, we would not see change as necessary. You adjust your shoe size if, and only when your feet hurt. It is the pain that pushes a man to perfection....and 45 years to the day the pain of our people being segregated from the American Dream is being fullfilled all because Dr. King had a dream and Obama had the audicity of hope.
